Lead generation(pre-sale)
Adding a shortcode to any form of media (for example TV, radio, print, billboards, etc) enables interactivity for that traditionally non-interactive media. For example, adding the language (text ‘now’ to ‘drive’) on a billboard will capture users who want to learn more about a particular car model right from the billboard. The brand can then communicate to the consumer and opt them in to receive multiple messages, eventually enticing the consumer to test drive a car at the local dealership.
Service alerts(post-sale)
After a car is purchased, the mobile number of the customer is captured and the dealer can send alerts such as recall notices, service reminders, any news to the customer. Service reminders can have a direct dial to the dealer, so that the consumer schedule an appointment. Cheaper and much more effective than traditional direct mail.
Brand extension
To help promote the launch of a new car, wallpapers and ringtones may be made available for download at no cost from the car website. Alerts can also be sent to existing customers to remind them of deals on newer models of cars or offers.
